Foundation Certificate in HACCP Principles

The aim of this one-day course is to ensure a basic knowledge and understanding of the importance of HACCP as a preventive food safety management system, which can be applied to all sectors of the food industry.

Who should attend?

The course is recommended for anyone working in a food related environment who requires an appropriate level of knowledge and understanding of HACCP. It is recommended that delegates have attended a Level 2 food safety qualification or equivalent.

Course content

The course is informal and will cover topics including: Food safety management Hazards Benefits of HACCP Prerequisites for HACCP Implementation Monitoring Definitions Course book and a comprehensive delegate pack will be provided.

Duration

The course is approximately 6 hours' duration and conducted during one day. The examination is a multiple choice test of 45 minutes' duration taken on the same day.

Qualification

All successful candidates will receive the Foundation Certificate in HACCP Principles.

Progression

Intermediate Certificate in Applied HACCP Principles.
